Digital Courier
Technologies Inc.
said
that its online book and video stores will begin linking their customer
communities.

“We have developed two compelling and unique user communities with each of the
online stores, and each has demonstrated an interest in related titles in
other formats,” said R.J. Pittman, CEO of Digital Courier. “We are beginning
to bridge the gap between our book, video, and music communities to increase
traffic and sales for all the stores.”

Videos Now shoppers will now have immediate access to the Books Now online store, and similarly,
Books Now users will have access to Videos Now site. The links will help
customers find popular titles such as “Star Wars” in multiple media formats
including paperback, DVD, VHS video, or the CD soundtrack.

Digital Courier recently announced it would offer movie soundtracks on compact
disk format through the Videos Now Web site, beginning early next year. Videos
Now, which debuted in November of this year on AOL, AOL.com, and Digital City,
is a destination shopping site for VHS, DVD, and Beta movies.

processing and content delivery software based on a matrix of server-side Java
software components. Its netClearing division offers secure credit card and
payment processing services and technology .
