DirectNet Telecommunications Acquires EOS

DirectNet Telecommunications, a
provider of international telecommunications services with headquarters in
Newport Beach, CA, completed the acquisition of EOS, a Prague-based provider
of electronic-commerce products.


“This acquisition will enable DirectNet to enhance its service coverage and
diversify its product offerings,” said Daniel Gee, president and chief
executive officer of DirectNet.


According to George Zavidil, founder and strategic planner of EOS,
“DirectNet’s existing infrastructure, sound financial position and strengths
in sales and marketing combined with EOS’ strong market position, established
product line and commitment to growth made for a very effective strategic
business alliance.”


Operating under the name DirectNet–EOS, the staff will remain at the
company’s headquarters in Prague. David Wolfe of DirectNet has formally been
named director general of the newly joined organization.
