DUTYFREEZONE.com Launches Eponymous Site

Sep 14, 1999

DUTYFREEZONE.com (DFZ) launched as a
site that enables online shoppers to purchase a variety of international
brand name products, duty free.

Operating in accordance with international customs laws and duty free
allowances, the company said its approach to global e-commerce offers
consumers savings of 20 to 40 percent below traditional online and retail
store prices on premium merchandise.

“With DUTYFREEZONE.com, the days of having to travel abroad to purchase duty
free goods are over,” said Reynald Katz, chairman and chief executive officer.

Brands include Givenchy watches, Cartier cigarettes, Hennessy cognac and
Diesel apparel, as well as leather goods, designer apparel, champagne and
premium liquors, cigars, jewelry and watches.

DFZ ships these goods at no charge within the United States. In-stock
products purchased on DFZ are packed and shipped within seven days from the
site’s full-service bonded warehouse located on Curacao.

Consumers are then
notified of the shipment method, time of departure and expected date of
delivery, via e-mail.

DHL Worldwide Express and POST Netherlands Antilles, NV
are the preferred shipping options.
