Online sporting good store Fogdog Sports launched her.fogdog.com, a new
sub-site customized for active women and featuring an array of merchandise and
information.

The sub-site will market apparel and gear designed especially for a woman’s
shape
and metabolic rate, such as backpacks, wetsuits, wakeboards and sleeping bags.

her.fogdog.com has a different look and feel than the Fogdog site, with
pictures of women participating in active sports such as surfing, hiking,
mountain biking and kayaking.

The sub-site has an Active Lifestyle store; a
Sports Bra section that carries 70 bras from such brands as Champion, Hind,
Moving Comfort and Nike; six specialty her.sports stores (board sports,
fitness, outdoor, running, swimming and tennis); and sales items. Also,
visitors can read advice columns and articles about sports gear, and
participate in discussion groups.

Fogdog Chief Executive Officer Tim Harrington said that half of Fogdog’s shoppers are women, and
that female online shoppers make up the fastest growing consumer segment on
the Internet today. “her.fogdog.com is a pivotal step forward in our
continued leadership of the online sporting goods category,” he said.
