iMedium and Xceed Form Strategic Alliance

Interactive design firm and solutions builder Xceed Inc. established a strategic alliance with iMedium Inc., an embedded e-commerce company that is seeking to push the convergence of online content, advertising and commerce.

Xceed will be able to offer its clients iMedium’s See!Commerce technology for use on their Web sites. Xceed will also serve as iMedium’s representative with regard to certain marketing and promotional initiatives.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

iMedium’s See!Commerce technology offers visual content owners and publishers the ability to embed e-commerce and contextual advertising links within photographs and still images that appear on their Web sites.

Site visitors can then click on these pictures to access an interactive “hotspotted” version of an image. The hotspots are linked to appropriate e-commerce and advertising opportunities either at the customer’s own store site or at other merchant sites in iMedium’s network.
