IntraLinks Acquires Savant Technologies

IntraLinks, which provides B2B Net-based
services that allow businesses to collaborate and communicate with clients,
business partners and advisers, acquired e-commerce consulting and solutions
company Savant Technologies.


Savant, founded in 1996, has deployed fixed price e-commerce solutions
including consulting, software and hardware for companies such as Computer
Sciences Corp., De Puy OrthoTech, (a Johnson & Johnson company,) Infinium
Software and Teradyne Inc. Financial terms of the acquisition were not
disclosed.


“We’ve facilitated more than 1,500 transactions for the capital markets,
legal, professional services and pharmaceutical sectors; 24,000 users in 92
countries have
communicated and collaborated using IntraLinks,” said Leonard
Goldstein, IntraLinks’ chief information officer.


“With Savant’s high-caliber developers joining our team,
IntraLinks will be able to more quickly deploy and enhance services for
additional vertical markets.”


In January, IntraLinks received $15 million in strategic funding from Chase
Manhattan and Euclid/eCorporate Partners, bringing its investment total over
the past year to $44 million.


IntraLinks, an application services provider,
offers secure, neutral, online
environments where professionals can organize and collaborate on
document-intensive business processes and transactions.
