iVillage.com: The Women’s
Network
signed an exclusive, two-year agreement making NetGrocer its exclusive online
supermarket shopping delivery service.

As part of the agreement, iVillage and NetGrocer will create a co-branded
storefront that can be accessed from all iVillage.com branded communities
including Parent Soup, ParentsPlace.com and Better Health, as well as
iVillage.com’s Shopping and Food channels. Financial specifics were not
disclosed.

Each community will be linked to a customized area within the co-branded site
that addresses the needs of a particular lifestyle. For example, from Parent
Soup, members can go directly to an area that offers baby- or kid-specific
grocery items.

“NetGrocer naturally extends the iVillage concept of providing women with a
one-stop online marketplace supported by community interaction,” said Daniel
Nissan, NetGrocer president and CEO.

“Our relationship with NetGrocer enables extremely busy women to benefit from
the convenience of purchasing groceries online,” said Cynthia Basciani, senior
vice president of development, iVillage. “As more and more members come to
rely on meaningful service from iVillage.com, our partnership offers them an
easy way to build comfort and familiarity with the relatively new phenomenon
of shopping online.”

NetGrocer lets shoppers across the United States purchase non-perishable
supermarket items online at competitive prices. It ships competitively
priced groceries and other consumer goods
directly to homes and offices within two to four business days via FedEx.
