LivePerson Signs New Partner, New Customers

Jul 9, 1999

LivePerson signed agreements with
Internet market research company Harris Interactive, Tickets.com, PC Flowers&Gifts.com and
NextCard.

The deal with Harris is a partnership to provide turnkey sales and customer
service solutions to other Web sites. Harris Interactive has licensed
LivePerson’s technology and will provide 24×7 operator support enabling Web
sites to completely outsource their Web customer service operations.
Tickets.com, PC Flowers&Gifts.com, and NextCard will be integrating
LivePerson’s online customer service solution into their existing Web sites.

LivePerson’s technology enables customer service representatives to engage in
real-time dialogue with consumers. Financial terms of the various agreements
were not disclosed.

“Deciding to partner with Harris Interactive was the logical choice for
LivePerson as we continue to add to the breadth of services we bring to our
clients,” said Robert LoCascio, President and CEO of the company. “Harris
Interactive brings years of experience in call center operations. Thanks to
its expertise in both traditional and online market research as well as
customer relationship management, Harris Interactive understands the
importance of providing outstanding customer service to online shoppers.”

LivePerson said its technology allows Web site visitors to engage
in real-time text conversations with customer service representatives. By
providing Web sites with the ability to directly interact with their
customers at the point-of-sale, LivePerson says it enables these sites to
increase average order sizes, online conversion and customer retention rates.
The service requires no hardware or software installation.
