lucy.com Signs E-Commerce Pact with AOL

Online women’s sports apparel and accessories store lucy.com signed an e-commerce agreement with
America Online.


The agreement provides lucy.com with prominent placements in the Sports and
Fitness, Athletic Shoes and Apparel departments, as well as in the Women’s
Apparel department of the Shop@AOL area on the AOL service as well as on AOL.com, CompuServe and Netscape online shopping destinations.
Also, the site gains additional advertising presence across several AOL
brands.


“Our relationship with AOL is a cornerstone piece of our strategy to become
the de facto brand for active women,” said Kate Delhagen, vice president of
business development for lucy.com.


Financial arrangements were not disclosed.


lucy.com is an interactive retail site designed to meet the specific needs of
active women of all ages, interests and fitness levels. It sells athletic
products from more than 40 manufacturers.
