MP3.com Boards Women.com

MP3.com, Inc. Wednesday announced a partnership with Women.com Networks, Inc., to create a co-branded “music center” where visitors can access and manage their personal digital music collection, receive free downloads of lifestyle and activity-oriented content, and access MP3.com subscription music channels.

As an MSP Partner, Women.com will have access to MP3.com’s MSP Platform 1.0, a set of products and technologies that allows for the delivery of music and music-related services designed to create new potential revenue streams for companies. These services include the MP3.com’s content-serving infrastructure, personalized music management features, and security and targeted marketing opportunities. Additionally, MP3.com plans to sponsor a Women.com newsletter each quarter.

“Our partnership with Women.com offers an excellent opportunity to further extend our MSP Platform to an innovative, high-traffic web site,” said Michael Robertson, chairman and chief executive officer of MP3.com (www.mp3.com). “We are excited about the possibilities of bringing digital music services to Women.com’s more than six million unique monthly visitors. This is a natural fit in terms of lifestyle and content.”

“Our relationship with MP3.com supports our overall marketing strategy to deliver personalized tools to the more than three million members registered at our site,” said Jeff Bruce, vice president, national advertising sales, Women.com. “MP3.com was a natural partner for us to enable our visitors to enjoy digital music collections, and listen to them, when and where they want to.”
