Polaroid Corp.
deployed Blue Martini Software’s
Java-based Customer Interaction System for its new polaroidwork.com B2B site.

The first phase of the polaroidwork.com site guides business and professional
customers to targeted photography applications and products to meet their
business requirements.

The site directs customers to channel providers who
sell and deliver Polaroid products. These capabilities are supported by the
content management and marketing features of the Blue Martini Customer
Interaction System.

In making the selection of the software, James R. Barron, vice president for
Internet development at Polaroid, cited a need to “improve our lead
conversion time, marketing efficiencies and customer interaction.” Spending
details were not disclosed.

Polaroid is using the Blue Martini software to manage content and product
Blue Martini’s data warehousing, data mining, reporting and personalization
capabilities to create a tailored customer experience. Polaroid’s B2B
customers range from dentists and health care professionals to law
enforcement agencies and graphic artists.

Blue Martini said it created a new infrastructure for most of the Polaroid
Internet
presence that eventually will impact almost all of the company’s global Web
sites.

Blue Martini provides enterprise software applications to understand, target
and interact with customers on the Web, via call centers, in stores, over
wireless devices and on trading exchanges.
