Austin, TX-based SMART Technologies Inc. said it selected Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition, for use with SMART’s eCustomer System.

The eCustomer system delivers enterprise-ready applications, driven by the
needs of the customer, not the employee. SMART said it will utilize and extend
specific features of Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition to enhance
SMART eCustomer.

Jeff DeCoux, CEO of SMART, said: “Microsoft Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition
reduces development time and costs for sophisticated e-commerce Web sites,
which will allow SMART to further reduce the time-to-satisfaction for our
customers and their customers.”

SMART delivers what it calls customer-driven enterprise relationship
management with the SMART eCustomer system, comprised of two main components,
SMART Touchpoints, customer-driven applications for customer channel
enablement, dynamic customer interaction and customer-driven service and
support and SMART DNA, a scalable, extensible and supportable infrastructure
and architecture for processing customer interactions over the Web.
