Boca Raton, FL-based Big Entertainment Inc. signed an e-commerce marketing
agreement with Steeplechase Media Inc., a
Hollywood-based interactive TV content developer.
BigE will make available entertainment-related
merchandise through a link that Steeplechase will integrate into its various
interactive TV and broadband projects. Financial terms of the agreement were
not disclosed.
Owners with interactive television systems, such as the Microsoft WebTV
Network Plus, the WebTV for Windows feature of Windows 98 and other
distribution platforms that adhere to the Advanced Television Enhancement

simply by accessing the BigE link on all of Steeplechase Media’s enhanced
shows and networks. BigE links will also be part of Steeplechase Media’s
broadband content initiatives.
“We’re always looking for new and easy ways to reach movie and TV fans across the country,” said Mitchell Rubenstein, chairman and CEO of BigE. “This
partnership with Steeplechase will help us achieve this goal by creating an
easy to use connection between TV shows and networks, new broadband content
and services and our online studio store.”
Specific interactive TV projects featuring the BigE link are expected to be
announced shortly.
