Verio Launches Online Store for Small Businesses

Domain-based Web hosting company Verio Inc. launched VerioStore, an e-commerce solution aimed
at letting small and medium-sized businesses build a store and conduct
transactions online.

Verio said the store enables merchants to “point and click” to build and
securely operate a virtual storefront, and includes Web-site hosting,
e-commerce software, an online merchant account application, credit card
processing, domain-name registration, and Web site traffic generation.

VerioStore incorporates on-line product catalogs, a cash register, a shopping
cart and shipping and sales tax calculations. Once online, VerioStore
merchants will be listed in iMALL’s Stuff.com shopping portal where potential
customers can find and purchase their products and services.

VerioStore is based on iMALL’s e-commerce software and First Data Merchant
Services
(FDMS) Corp.’s Internet payment processing solutions.

VerioStore plans start at $199 per month and are being offered with no set-up
fee for customers who purchase the new service before Sept. 15.

“Offering the individual components of e-commerce in one convenient and
comprehensive package allows businesses to launch an online store quickly and
easily at a fraction of the cost and complexity of integrating e-commerce
services piece-by-piece,” said Doug Schneider, president of Verio’s Web
Services division.

Excite@Home, which recently signed a definitive agreement to acquire iMALL,
will continue to license the jointly developed iMALL/First Data e-commerce
solution to Verio.
