Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Visa U.S.A. signed a deal
expanding its marketing relationship with Yahoo! to become the
preferred and default payment card on Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo! Travel and
Yahoo! Wallet.

Yahoo! and Visa also said they intend to promote Visa’s payer authentication
service on the Yahoo! network to create a more convenient and secure shopping
experience for consumers.

The deal expands on a relationship that had included only Yahoo! Shopping.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

Visa will have branded, fixed placement throughout Yahoo! Shopping, Travel
and Wallet, and the corresponding purchase pages. Yahoo! and Visa have also
agreed to jointly develop an off-line co-branded marketing program for 2001.

Visa has also expanded its advertising commitment on the Yahoo! network.
Yahoo! will continue to offer the Yahoo! Visa Card, which consumers can use
to earn Yahoo! Points for each purchase they make, online or off-line. Yahoo!
Points can be redeemed for products and gift certificates through
participating Yahoo! Shopping merchants, or used to bid at special Yahoo!
Auctions.

“This partnership will create incremental revenue for our member banks and
merchant partners by providing value-added offers and promoting a higher
level of payment security online,” said Bond Isaacson, executive vice
president of Visa U.S.A. “… working together, Visa and Yahoo! can make the
online shopping experience more convenient and secure for millions of
consumers.”
