McDATA(R) Corporation today announced today it has partnered with ACAL to resell McDATA’s complete enterprise-to-edge line of storage area network (SAN) products and software within the Pan-European market.
“We are excited about this opportunity to team with the world-wide leader in the Director market,” said Andrew Litherland, director of business development for ACAL. “This alliance will allow us to maintain and grow our strong position in the European SAN market by offering McDATA’s high quality products, software and services to our customer’s.”
As part of the agreement, ACAL becomes McDATA’s first Pan-European Distributor. ACAL primarily serves as a distribution, services and support center for leading Fibre Channel manufacturers, selling products through a network of approved Value Added Reseller partners throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. ACAL’s recently established Professional Services group provides training and consultancy services on the architectural design and implementation of Fibre Channel networks and SAN installations.
