Auspex and EDUCOM to Demo MS Exchange Archive Solution

Sep 27, 2001

NAS provider Auspex Systems, Inc. and EDUCOM TS Inc., a developer of document and storage management software, this announced they would be demonstrating their combined solution for storing and archiving Microsoft Exchange e-mail at the Microsoft Exchange Conference in Orlando, Florida, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3.

According to the companies, the solution uses Auspex’s enterprise information servers as the storage system for EDUCOM’s Exchange Archive Solution (EAS), intelligent storage management software that permits rules-based archiving and self-serve user retrieval of archived Exchange 2000 and 5.5 e-mail.

The complete Exchange Archive Solution includes EDUCOM’s EAS software, the Auspex network server, an application server, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), a Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database, and search engine software that allows users to perform searches by recipient, sender, date, subject or full message contents. Resellers can integrate the complete system, rackmount it, and deliver it as a turnkey package.
