Brocade Expands Service and Support

Jun 26, 2001

SANs provider Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. today announced the
opening of a service and support center in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to the company, the
Brocade Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Regional Support Center
represents the continued commitment of Brocade to the European region and
will provide 24 x 7 in-time zone assistance for Brocade OEM and channel
partners delivering service and support to end-customers. The center will
also be available to Brocade partners for interoperability testing and
configuration qualification.

Olaf Swantee, director of the Compaq Enterprise Storage Group for Europe,
the Middle East, and Africa commented, “The opening of this center allows
Compaq and Brocade to strengthen support to our customers. It is another
step towards the truly open storage area network and demonstrates open
SANs at work. Open standards, as championed by Compaq for 20 years, are
the way forward for the storage industry. Customers will no longer accept
proprietary solutions, especially as IT spending on enterprise storage
eclipses server spending.”

In addition, all Brocade Education training courses and certification will
be offered through the Brocade EMEA Regional Support Center to Brocade
partners and the public.
