CMD Releases New Raid Controllers

CMD Technology, Inc. this week announced it has begun shipping the CMD TitanTM 7040, 7240, and 7400 RAID controllers.


The 7040 is a four-channel, Ultra160 SCSI-to-SCSI RAID controller that supports up to 28 disk drives or two terabytes of data. The 7240 is a six-channel, Fibre Channel-to-Ultra160 RAID controller for shared storage environments. It supports up to 56 disk drives. The 7400 is a four-channel, all Fibre Channel RAID controller that supports up to 248 disk drives for over 18 terabytes of storage space.


According to CMD, advanced features like online firmware updates are complemented by CMD’s RAID Management Software (RMS) graphical user interface for local or remote configuration and event notification.
