Companies Offer Switch-to-Switch Interoperability Demonstration

Gadzoox Networks Inc. announced that its Slingshot 4218, a 2Gb Open Fabric switch, will be featured in the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) Interoperability Demonstration at the Fibre Channel Technology Conference (FCTC) 2001 in San Jose, Califo
rnia this week, together with switch vendors Brocade, McDATA, Qlogic and Vixel.


The demonstration (booth 403) will showcase the Fibre Channel standard FC-SW-2, and highlight heterogeneous SAN configuration and auto-negotiation capabilities between legacy switches at 1Gb and the latest generation switches at 2Gb speeds.
