Double-Take Offers Disaster Recovery to EC2

The growth in popularity of Amazon’s EC2 service means that people want some of the ancillary products that come with a cloud service, one of which is disaster recovery. Double-Take has the answer, Enterprise Storage Forum has the details.


Double-Take (NASDAQ: DBTK) and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) are partnering on a new offering that gives smaller businesses an easy disaster recovery option.

Double-Take Cloud combines the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) with Double-Take’s backup software to replicate data, applications and operating systems to the cloud and resume a workload from bare metal.

Customers can run their operations on Amazon’s cloud while restoring the original workload at their production site.
