EMC Elects New Member to Board

Dec 19, 2001

EMC Corporation this week announced the election of Windle B. Priem to its Board of Directors. Priem has spent the past 25 years at Korn/Ferry International, an executive recruiting company, including a two-year term as the firm’s President and CEO.

Mike Ruettgers, EMC’s Executive Chairman, said, “Win Priem brings the type of dimension to our board that we’ve been seeking. He is a seasoned, independent professional who has proven himself not only as CEO of a public company, but also as an individual specializing in the critical area of human capital – the single most important ingredient for success in a world-class business. Win’s experience with the world’s largest executive recruiting company brings depth in high-level issues relating to `built-to-last’ management structures, compensation, recruiting, and succession planning. I look forward to Win’s contributions to our future growth.”

Priem, 64, serves as a Trustee of Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He is also a member of the Board of Overseers of the Lahey Clinic.
