EMC Updates Change Management Software

Managing network storage can be a complex affair. As EnterpriseStorageForum reports, improper configuration is believed to be at the root of most service disruptions and a number of vendors have solutions designed to head off and help network managers better deal with such issues.


The latest version of EMC’s Ionix Storage Configuration Advisor helps users automate much of the process, with templates and wizards for defining and modifying policies for physical and logical connectivity.




EMC (NYSE: EMC) has upgraded its Ionix Storage Configuration Advisor to add support for mixed storage networking environments and new compliance features.


The change management software helps prevent storage network outages by flagging configuration errors before they cause problems.
