Emulex Corp. today announced that the Emulex LP9002L 2Gb/s Fibre Channel HBA has been certified by Hitachi Data Systems for its recently announced 2Gb/s Fibre Channel SAN solution, featureing Hitachi’s Lightning 9900(TM) and Thunder 9200(TM) storage systems, and the Brocade Silkworm 3800 switch.

Emulex said its LightPulse family of Fibre Channel HBAs offers full fabric support, high data integrity, full-duplex operation, data buffering for up to 100km of cabling, and support for all Fibre Channel topologies. The Emulex Fibre Channel products include the 2Gb/s LP9002L and LP952L, the SBus-based LP8000S, and the market-leading LP8000 host bus adapters.
