Exabyte Corporation today announced that its 215M, 430M, X80 and X200 tape libraries and its M2(TM) tape drive have been certified for use with VERITAS Backup Exec(TM) versions 8.5 and 8.6 for NT and Windows 2000.

Support from a market leader such as VERITAS Software is critical to the continued success of the Exabyte storage automation product line,” said Exabyte president and CEO Bill Marriner. “We are very pleased that our 215M, 430M, X80 and X200 tape libraries and our M2 tape drive have been certified for use with VERITAS Backup Exec. Exabyte said these data storage products are targeted at the midrange market and are suitable for the backup needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
