HP Selects Emulex Fibre Channel HBAs


Emulex Corporation , a supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), today announced that its LightPulse(R) LP8000, LP9000 and 2Gb/s LP9002L HBAs have been selected by Hewlett-Packard Company to provide Fibre Channel connectivity to HP’s network storage appliance solutions running in Linux environments.


According to Emulex, as a result of the HP SAN-itized certification program, its LP8000, LP9000 and LP9002L are currently the only Fibre Channel HBAs capable of providing SAN connectivity for HP’s Surestore disk arrays XP512, XP48 and VA7100 in Linux SAN operating environments.
