JNI(R) Corp. this week announced that Sylvia Summers-Dubrevil, group vice president at Cisco Systems, has been appointed to the JNI Board of Directors, increasing the board to seven members.
“Sylvia brings a wealth of network, storage, computer industry and semiconductor experience to JNI’s board,” said Neal Waddington, president and CEO. “Her international experience, as well as her operational experience at both Cisco and StorageTek will be of great benefit to JNI as we continue our development and maturation toward being an industry-leading company.”
Summers-Dubrevil, 48, has more than 20 years of storage and engineering management experience in technology. She is a group vice president with Cisco Systems, managing its Public Access Managed Network Services Group. She also serves as a member of the board of directors for Gadzoox Networks Inc., a manufacturer of Fibre Channel hardware and software complementary to JNI’s products.
Summers-Dubrevil previously served as vice president and general manager of the Multiplatform Group at StorageTek . Prior to that, Summers-Dubrevil held senior-level management positions in systems businesses at Group Bull, Thomson CSF and Matra. She began her career in the semiconductor industry, serving in engineering, reliability, research and project management for companies such as Texas Instruments, Motorola and the RCA-David Sarnoff Research Center. She has a wealth of international experience, managing groups and divisions at locations in the United States and France.
Summers-Dubrevil received a master’s in business administration from Thomson CSF in France, a master’s of science in electrical engineering from the University of California, and a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering from Ecole Polytecnique Feminine in France.
