Imperial Technology unveiled the new MegaRam-1000 this week at Internet World Spring 2001 in Los Angeles. The storage accelerator maker says its new product is the most technologically advanced acceleration system, incorporating a native Fibre Channel architecture into a space-saving rackmount chassis just 1.75 inches high (1U).

“This new compact, rackmount storage accelerator is ideal for environments where the conservation of space is just as important as continuous, high-speed performance,” said Emanuel Allen, president of Imperial Technology.

Calling the MegaRam-1000’s 1U format the de facto standard for many Internet-related companies and co-location facilities, Imperial Technology says it is the solution to meet the challenge of exponential data growth in e-business and I/O intensive industries.
