MTI Technology Corp. today announced that its Vivant S200 has been certified by Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. as being interoperable with Brocade-based Storage Area Networking (SAN) infrastructure in testing conducted through the Brocade Fabric Aware(TM) Program.
“MTI continues to provide industry leading products that can easily integrate into heterogeneous environments. The Fabric Aware program tests MTI products in extremely heterogeneous environments by placing them in a single SAN operating with over 28 switches and equipment from 35 partners,” said Russ Ritchie, MTI director of product marketing.
The MTI Vivant S200 is a Fibre Channel SAN based storage appliance designed for use in UNIX and Windows NT/2000 operating environments. It features up to 1.7 TB of capacity in a compact 10U form factor. It is, according to MTI, a completely integrated Storage Area Network (SAN) that allows IT managers to consolidate storage for multiple UNIX and Windows NT/2000 servers.
