Network Appliance, Inc. today announced that it has expanded its Canadian presence by launching a Canadian subsidiary — Network Appliance Canada, Ltd. According to Network Appliance, it has made strong inroads in Canada with partners, resellers, and customers, which include blue-chip customers AT&T Canada and Merrill Lynch Canada.
“As one of the world’s seven largest economies, Canada represents a significant market opportunity for Network Appliance and we’re putting new sales and partner strategies in place to make us the premier Canadian provider of open storage networking solutions,” said Mark Santora, senior vice president of marketing for Network Appliance.
As part of the launch, Network Appliance named Jeff Goldstein as general manager of Network Appliance Canada, Ltd. Goldstein joined Network Appliance in March 2001 as country manager for Canadian sales and is based in Mississauga. He joined Network Appliance from Data General Canada, a division of EMC, where he spent nine years, the last four as Canadian president and general manager.
The formation of Network Appliance Canada comes just a few months after Network Appliance opened in Singapore its fourth global services and support center to expand its capabilities in Asia/Pacific, and complements rapid sales expansion for the company in Europe, Asia/Pacific, and Latin America. Network Appliance Canada, Ltd. is a Canadian limited liability company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Appliance, Inc.
