Network Storage Solutions (NSS), a network attached storage (NAS) and storage area networks (SAN) vendor, this week announced the appointment of Thomas Makmann as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Makmann was formerly president and chief operating officer at nStor, a provider of integrated, enterprise-class storage solutions. Previously, he was at Hammer Storage Solutions, Shepherd Surveillance, Inc., Sytron Corp, Maxtor Corp., Kalok Corp, Archive Corp. and Control Data.

“Tom is a strong leader with a distinguished track record, uniquely suiting him to be our next CEO,” said Frank Trumbower, NSS Chairman of the Board. “He brings tremendous industry experience and has operated diverse and global businesses with strong sales and customer focused prowess.”

Bradford Clemmons, former president and CEO, will now assume the position of Chief Technology Officer. “We’re very pleased and excited to have someone of Tom’s caliber to complete the management team in preparation for our future growth,” Clemmons said.
