NovaStor Delivers Data Protection for Windows XP and NetWare 6.0

NovaStor Corporation this week announced the release of their NovaNET 8.5 backup and recovery software for small and medium businesses. The company said this latest release introduces several new enhancements including support for Microsoft Windows XP and Novell NetWare v6.0.


According to NovaStor, NovaNET 8.5 allows businesses with a single server or an entire network of servers and workstations to backup data everyday to almost any tape backup device. In addition, NovaNET 8.5 now also comes with a Disk Configuration Wizard for configuring any hard disk storage as a backup device, remote administration capabilities, 9-slot tape autoloader support and a distributed device architecture that allows backup devices to be located on any number of systems and managed from a central point.


NovaStor also said the Alliance Edition of NovaNET 8.5 includes unified support for the latest Windows, NetWare and Linux environments. The this new release also includes new product line additions such as a version specifically for Microsoft Small Business Server and products that work in a Novell NetWare environment with MLA site licensing.


The company offers several additional plug-in modules that can be used with NovaNET 8.5 for more specialized applications and environments, including Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL Server and Cluster Server as well as Plug-ins for disaster recovery, open file backup and support for enhanced tape autoloaders and libraries.
