Oracle And EMC Announce New Integration Features

Oracle this week announced that Oracle9i Database is now integrated with EMC’s newest storage management software platform, EMC ControlCenter/Open Edition.


According to the company this enables customers to do more with less information technoogy (IT) complexity. It also said that by using a , single tool set powered by Oracle9i Database, EMC’s ControlCenter/Open Edition provides advanced storage management functionality to customers, such as housing and centrally managing complex information regarding an entire storage infrastructure, including heterogeneous storage systems, switches, servers and HBAs.


The companies said the current product integration extends years of joint product integration as they continue to focus on tightly coupling the functionality of information storage with the Oracle Databases.
