OTG Software Launches Archival Solution for Instant Messaging

OTG Software, Inc. , a software provider of online data storage, data access and email management solutions, today announced IMXtender(TM), a platform designed for the storage and management of enterprise- wide Instant Messaging (IM) applications.


According to OTG, it developed IMXtender to enable enterprises to capture, store and access IM files. In partnership with OTG, Ikimbo, a provider of real-time communications solutions, will provide the IMXtender platform as part of its Omniprise(TM) real-time communications solution.


OTG says that messages and files sent via IM are captured in real-time and are centrally managed within the IMXtender Message Center. IMXtender also generates a full-text index of messages and files including user and session information. Immediate access to messages is provided through standard RAID-based storage.
