Procom Announces Major OS Upgrades for NetFORCE NAS

Procom Technology, Inc. , a network attached storage (NAS)vendor, today announced operating system advances for its NetFORCE(TM) Series of network storage appliances.


The new OS V 4.0 platform includes embedded support for Active Directory Services (ADS) under Microsoft Windows 2000, Dynamic Domain Name Service (DNS), support for UNIX NIS+ and full Unicode support. Also supported are IP aliasing and auto home shares.


In addition to enabling seamless integration into Microsoft Windows 2000 environments, Procom’s new V 4.0 software broadens the company’s global reach by offering full Unicode character support.
