Irvine, Calif.-based Procom Technology Inc., which makes data storage and access appliances, and The Aucma Group, China’s largest manufacturer of freezers and a multi-billion dollar leader in technology, finance, real estate and investing, said that they have formed a strategic partnership in which Procom will be the company’s exclusive supplier of NAS products.

After extensive analysis by Aucma Uniskys, Procom was chosen over a field of well-known network storage manufacturers, officials said.

Aucma Uniskys was founded by the Aucma Group for its strategic development of the IT industry. The subsidiary announced its partnership with Procom on June 5 in Beijing to an audience of over 250 representatives from both industry and the media, officials also said.

Aucma Uniskys will market Procom’s industry-leading NAS technology throughout China, with the first product shipments slated for the week of June 24. It will carry storage appliances from Procom’s etFORCE 1000 and 3000 Series as well as the DataFORCE line, thus covering a full range of applications and capacities — from workgroup and ROBO utilization to enterprise-level applications.

Headquartered in Beijing, Aucma’s Uniskys Division will set up offices in Qingdao and Shanghai, primarily for Procom’s NAS products, and will maintain an infrastructure of resellers and service/support centers throughout China.
