QLogic’s SANblade HBA Shipping in IBM NAS

IBM and QLogic Corp. announced that QLogic’s SANblade 2200 Series Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) are shipping on board IBM’s TotalStorage Network Attached Storage (NAS) 200 and 300 products.

According to the companies, using QLogic’s Fibre Channel connectivity, IBM’s NAS products can connect up to 90 disk drives and over 3 terabytes (TB) of storage capacity. “QLogic simplifies networked storage by enabling us to give our customers the performance and compatibility they need from the workgroup to the enterprise,” said Roland Hagan, vice president of storage networking marketing, IBM Storage Systems Group.

Qlogic said it designs and produces solutions based on all storage network technologies including SCSI, iSCSI InfiniBand and Fibre Channel.
