Storability Intros New Technology

Storability Inc., a provider of Automated Storage Assurance services, today announced AssuredStorage Navigator V.2, a breakthrough technology that provides consistent, consolidated views of a customer’s entire storage infrastructure – offering dynamic reporting through an enhanced Web-based portal.

For the first time, critical status and control information for distributed heterogeneous storage area networks (SANs) and data backup systems can be easily accessed from one source. Storability customers are now empowered with better control over their storage environments – viewing complex storage environments in one consistent, convenient manner. Benefits include improved planning, reduced emergency `firefighting’, and improved application availability.

Featuring an easy-to-use graphical user interface, AssuredStorage Navigator – utilizing Storability’s AssurENT Architecture – gives customers detailed current and historical views of status, storage capacity planning, storage utilization, performance, and other critical criteria regardless of the underlying hardware and management software infrastructure.

Access to the AssuredStorage Navigator is allowed via a secure login process that incorporates best-of-breed security technology. Individual department, user, and system views can be created, enabling internal corporate IT departments and service providers to facilitate charge-back and billing systems. Customers are also able to provision additional storage and management services through the portal, officials said.

Access to AssuredStorage Navigator is now available as a standard feature of all Storage Assurance Services including AssuredVolume, AssuredRestore, and AssuredOperation.

Storability also introduced AssuredInsight, a new service that delivers the reporting and visibility benefits of AssuredStorage Navigator as a standalone offering, officials said. The new AssuredInsight service delivers the reporting and visibility benefits of AssuredStorage Navigator through a standalone offering in which the customer’s staff retains responsibility for managing the storage infrastructure itself.

AssuredInsight is part of a growing family of Storage Assurance Services pioneered by Storability. These breakthrough services incorporate best-of-breed technology with Storability-developed systems to efficiently automate the management of storage infrastructures.

AssuredStorage Navigator V.2 and the AssuredInsight service are available immediately, officials added.
