Leading enterprise storage vendors including Brocade, FalconStor, MTI and Quantum have teamed up to present a multi-city series of seminars on storage resource management (SRM) beginning Thursday, July 25, in Washington, D.C. Organized by MTI Technology, the daylong, solutions-oriented seminars are designed to show IT professionals ways to manage storage more efficiently and assure business continuance, regardless of budget.

Along with MTI, the vendor-neutral SRM seminars are being sponsored by Brocade Communications Systems, FalconStor Software, Quantum Corp., Vyant Technologies, and Acirro. Enterprise storage experts from sponsoring companies will take part in a panel presentation, interact with attendees in breakout workgroups, and be available for one-on-one conferences.

Each seminar will feature one of three keynote speakers, all noted storage authorities: Mark Ferelli, editor-in-chief of Storage Inc. and Storage Management Solutions; Elliot King, editorial director of Database Trends &Applications Magazine; and David Simpson, editor-in-chief of InfoStor. They will also participate in the other seminar activities.

“These seminars offer the perfect opportunity for storage professionals and IT executives to gain a strategic view of the big picture as well as to receive practical ideas about how to address their pressing concerns,” said King.

After Washington, the tour moves on to New York (Aug. 5), Boston (Aug. 7), San Jose, Calif. (Aug. 13), Newport Beach, Calif. (Aug. 15), Atlanta (Aug. 19), Dallas (Aug. 21), Chicago (Sept. 10) and St. Louis (Sept. 12). More information is available at www.mti.com/MTIuniversity/seminars, which also allows online registration.
