StorageApps Announces SANMaster Software

StorageApps Inc. announced its new SANMaster software today at Storage Networking World. SANMaster is a software product that is intended to provides monitoring and control across a storage area network (SAN).

According to StorageApps, SANMaster uses agent technology to continuously monitor the storage network and warn of potential problems so they can be corrected before affecting operations. Alerts can be set to pre-determined levels that, when triggered, generate e-mail and pager messages to contact required personnel.

StorageApps says that SANMaster is used in conjunction with its SANLink appliance to help enterprises manage a storage network from anywhere via the Internet. Also, the SANMaster software maps the storage network and presents users with a Web-based user interface. It tracks historical information and configuration changes, builds reports of network performance, and includes SNMP support

The software is available today for a base license fee of $15,000.
