StoreAge Networking Technologies has announced an extensive series of partnerships with industry-leading vendors of storage networking technologies.
According to the company, the partnerships are part of an overall mission to ensure that virtualized SAN environments based on their StoreAge Storage Virtualization Manager (SVM) solutions are compatible with a broad array of leading SAN storage solutions, applications, and technologies.
Compatibility among SAN solutions and providers is a major industry issue, and one that has been identified by organizations such as the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) as one the major challenges facing the storage industry as a whole.
By working with partners to ensure compatibility, StoreAge will be able to deliver comprehensive, interoperable, end-to-end solutions for managing heterogeneous storage networks, including provisioning, performance optimization, data protection and more. This will allow customers to reduce SAN complexity and SAN ownership costs
The companies that StorAge is working with include ATTO Technology, BakBone Software, Brocade Communications, Computer Associates, Emulex Corporation, Eurologic Systems, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Infinity I/O, INRANGE, JNI Corporation, McDATA Corporation, Novell, Overland Data, QLogic Corporation, Quantum Corporation and Sun Microsystems.
