Emulex Corporation’s LightPulse 2Gb/s LP9002L Host Bus Adapter (HBA) has been certified by Unisys Corp. for use with its ES7000 Enterprise Servers, including the new ES7000/200 introduced last month.
The companies said the Emulex LP9002L, a 2Gb/s Fibre Channel PCI HBA, won certification following compatibility testing with the Unisys E7000 server series in Windows 2000 operating environments. Integrated into the ES7000 enterprise servers, Emulex HBAs provide the connectivity to storage area network (SAN) devices.
Unisys said it tested and certified the Emulex LP9002L with EMC CLARiiON and Symmetrix enterprise storage systems and StorageTek 9840B tape drives, as well as the Brocade 3200 and 3800 fabric switches.
