The board of directors for Veritas Software Corp. said Dave J. Roux, co-founder and principal of Silver Lake Management, LLC, has been appointed director.
Roux, 45, has served as co-founder and principal of Silver Lake Management, LLC, a New York and Silicon Valley investment partnership. Roux is also chairman of Liberate Technologies, Inc. in Redwood Shores, Calif. Prior to this, he was CEO of Liberate; executive vice president of corporate development at Oracle Corporation; senior vice president of Lotus Development; and co-founder and CEO of Datext, Inc., which was acquired by Lotus Development.
