W. Quinn Associates, Inc., (“WQuinn”), a provider of enterprise storage resource management software, today announced a market-adjusted price increase for its StorageCentral(R) SRM software.
According to the company, the increase better aligns the its storage resource management software with the trend of growing average server capacity, which is a driving force in server consolidation.
The company says that a recent market analysis among WQuinn’s customer base of over 3,500 companies in 50 countries, including Microsoft and 80 of the Fortune 100, revealed that the product’s value far outweighs its nominal per-server licensing fee, typically yielding a return on investment of six to eight times in the first year alone.
Under the new pricing, StorageCentral SRM retails for $1,295 per Windows NT, 2000, and Advanced Server and includes support for Windows Clustering. An edition of StorageCentral SRM for Windows 2000 Data Center Server increases to $4,995 per server. The per-server price of StorageCentral SRM has not increased since November 1999, despite the fact that the average server storage capacity has grown from approximately 50 gigabytes to easily 200 gigabytes over the same time period.
