Agilera, DigiTerra Bring ResortQuest’s Financials Online

Full-service ASP Agilera and enterprise application integrator DigiTerra Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CIBER Inc. (NYSE: CBR), Tuesday (Feb 13) announced the successful first-phase implementation of the J.D. Edwards financial applications in a hosted environment for ResortQuest International Inc. (NYSE: RZT).

The solution provides ResortQuest a uniform financial structure for increased efficiencies, improved standard processes, procedures, analysis and budgeting and a common, scalable platform. ResortQuest, the first brand name and online booking service for the vacation rental and property management industry, required the new applications to be in place for eight mountain region companies before the start of the 2000/2001 ski season.

Agilera and DigiTerra completed the implementation, which typically requires six months; in nine weeks by accelerating the completion of standard implementation methodology and by using Agilera’s Extended Enterprise (XE). ResortQuest needed the rapid implementation to establish a sound technology infrastructure to keep pace with the company’s acquisitions.

“ResortQuest is experiencing a phenomenal period of growth and needed a centralized solution that could not only be in place quickly, but could integrate disparate property management and back office systems with the scalability to meet our needs as we continue to rapidly expand and acquire new businesses,” said Mark Aldy, ResortQuest’s vice president of financial systems and project manager. “The combination of Agilera’s and DigiTerra’s expertise with J.D. Edwards applications – and the strong relationship between them – provided an ideal fit.”

By outsourcing its J.D. Edwards financial applications through Agilera, ResortQuest can focus on servicing its customers and the company’s continual growth, and minimize its investment in technology and personnel to update and run the IT infrastructure. Agilera assumes application maintenance and hosting responsibilities, thereby empowering ResortQuest to achieve greater management of its financial services.

DigiTerra assisted ResortQuest with implementing the J.D. Edwards OneWorld General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Address Book applications. Concurrently, DigiTerra systematically converted General Ledger historical information and interfaced the J.D. Edwards software with CertiChex, a software package used to print A/P checks. In addition to the application set-up and technical tasks, DigiTerra also assisted ResortQuest in developing and

Agilera, headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, was founded by CIBER Inc., the 27-year international systems integrator; Verio Inc. (Nasdaq: VRIO), the world’s largest Web hosting company; and Centennial Ventures, Colorado’s largest venture capital firm.
