Mar 26, 2002

Agilera is adding new meaning to the term full-service ASP. The Englewood, Colo.-based ASP will not only lease its customers enterprise software, it also plans to lease the equipment to run it.

Arrow Capital Corp., a financial services company that specializes in outsourced vendor leasing programs, today announced that Agilera will use a custom-designed Arrow program to market equipment leasing services.

The program will be called Agilera Capital and will be administered by Arrow, who will assume all credit risk associated with the program. The leasing service will be integrated into Agilera’s sales and delivery channels.

The new financing package was developed as part of Arrow’s ASP program, which is designed to provide a creative, long-term solution to eliminate the challenge that Agilera’s customers face in accessing capital for large, up-front expenditures for computer equipment and software.

According San Jose, Calif.-based Arrow Capital, leases can be structured as operating or capital leases, providing clients flexibility in managing their capital position. In addition to responding to ASP client demand for flexibility, Arrow’s financing program is designed to improve the scalability of Agilera’s business by providing ready access to equipment financing capital.

“Arrow’s program enhances our competitive position because we are able to offer additional flexibility and value to our customers through Agilera Capital,” said Marty Maxfield, vice president, controller and treasurer for Agilera. “A ready source of capital expands our capabilities and assures that we can meet the demands of our growing business while delivering the solutions our clients desire.”

Agilera offers both application and managed services. Its primary application partners are J.D. Edwards, Lawson, PeopleSoft, Oracle and Microsoft. It also provides application customization and integration sevices.
