Infrastructure and service management provider BMC Software Inc. yesterday annoucned that Agilera, a Englewood, Colo.-based full-service ASP, has chosen Patrol software to manage its customers outsourced applications.

Using Houston-based BMC Software’s enterprise management software, Agilera will offer service-level management for an integrated suite of applications including J.D. Edwards, Lawson, Oracle, SAP and Siebel Systems.

“We represent the first ASP to offer a combination of hosted solutions and value-added services,” said Chip Gums, vice president and general manager of Eastern Regional Operations, Agilera. “BMC Software’s Patrol solutions deliver control over our customers’ applications allowing us to provide exceptional service and availability, which gives our customers confidence that we will meet or exceed our service levels at all times.”

Patrol is designed to rapidly deploy service-level management through a continuous process that not only lets customers measure service and publish reports on compliance against service level agreements (SLAs), but also allows for automated diagnosis of the root cause of failures and predicts the impact of business change on the quality of service. From a single graphical console, BMC says, Patrol provides centralized control and helps to proactively manage systems, applications, databases and resources across the enterprise.

“By providing aggressive-growth companies an opportunity to leverage the power of top-tier enterprise solutions, Agilera helps companies prepare for the challenges of e-business much earlier in their lifecycle,” said Pete DiStefano, vice president of Patrol Platform Solutions for BMC Software.
