Agiliti Brings New Dimension to its Marketing & Product Management with Ex-Jamcracker Hire

ASP-News has learned that Feisal Mosleh, most recently vice president of marketing and strategy at Jamcracker, Inc., has joined Agiliti’s team as the vice president of marketing and product management.

In an exclusive interview, Mosleh told ASP-News, “It’s a hot company. And my job is to ensure that the company becomes well known on the East and West coast.”

Agiliti is based around a channel model, so it needs a huge customer demand, Mosleh explained.

“This is a big challenge and it attracted me to Agiliti,” he said. “Agiliti also has a compelling value proposition and a model that is working,”

Mosleh joined Agiliti a couple weeks back, but the announcement is official today.

When asked why he left Jamcracker, Inc., Mosleh said it was a personal decision. “The company has been put on the map and I wanted to look at other opportunities,” he said. “There comes a time when you ask ‘what more can be done.'”

Only two years ago, there were less than a handful of ASP players. “It was treated with a ‘wait and see’ approach,” Mosleh said. “Then last year, customers began to use the services and ASP aggregators came out to offer a single point of support, wrapping up all the minute details into one package.”

Mosleh pointed out that now the market is faced with inhibitors on the back-end integration and on-site implementation angles.

“Customers want the single point of support but also proof of reliability,” he said. “This is where Agiliti’s model comes into play. We allow customers to work with the local solution provider who is already an expert in that application.”

He also predicts that other aggregators will start copying Agiliti’s model, only acting as reinforcement of the credibility of its model.

In related news, ASP-News spoke with Agiliti chief executive officer and chairman Tom Kieffer, last month in detail about the company’s model and overall strategy (see related ASP News story, Agiliti Grooms Partners for Rental Vision,June 16th, 2000).

Agiliti currently has a total of 700 customers, 10 percent of which are in the pure ASP space.

Standing alone in the fact that Agiliti is so far the only aggregator that has added e-commerce service to its offering, Mosleh pointed out that the company offers three e-services: business services, e-commerce services and IT services.

“Those are three key differentiators,” Mosleh said. “Agiliti is one of the few companies that can show real tangible success as the ASP model is starting to take off. While LoudCloud offers e-commerce, that is where it ends. But we do more in addition to e-commerce.”
