Corio Completes SAP Upgrade and Migration

Enterprise ASP Corio (Nasdaq: CRIO) today announced that it has completed an 18-week migration project for Hitachi America, upgrading the electronics company’s deployment of SAP R/3 enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to Release 4.6. The San Carlos, Calif.-based Corio also announced that it has migrated the application to its data centers. The transition was accomplished with no interruption to Hitachi America’s ongoing business, Corio reports.

“Corio’s team of experts pulled off the migration and upgrade flawlessly,” said
Mas Ishigaki, general manager of Information Technology Group at Hitachi
America in a prepared statement. “The central command center they arranged gave our users access to
quick resolution of problems and helped meet our service level expectations. It
also gave our IT organization the ability to make the project flow seamlessly.”

Corio credits its FastLane methodology for the efficient transition. FastLane combines pre-configured best practices for specific industries with individual customer requirements to deliver implementations on demand. Corio officials say FastLane allowed the company to mitigate risks and expedite the project timeline for the migration and upgrade of Hitachi America’s customized SAP R/3 software solution.

Corio also offers FastLane implementations for PeopleSoft, Siebel Systems, Commerce One, BroadVision and among others.

Going forward, Corio is responsible for the applications management and maintenance of
the SAP R/3 solution and for implementing standards across the enterprise to streamline business flows and make the system more manageable.

Hitachi America customized and deployed SAP R/3 to four major divisions at its
three primary facilities and numerous smaller sites throughout the United
States.

Corio has been ranked as a Top 20 ASP by ASPnews since the list’s inception in April.
