ASP Corio, Inc. yesterday took the next step in terms of product revolution when it introduced Corio eMarket, a comprehensive solution for net market makers.

Key components of Corio eMarket include auction and exchange software, multi-vendor catalog management, user management, personalization, order management and integrated ERP and customer service.

The Corio eMarket solution includes a software platform, implementation and integration services, application management, customization and hosting. With eMarket, Corio has further enhanced the capabilities of its Intelligent Enterprise while expanding the reach of the ASP model into a new industry.

MadeToOrder.com, a digital marketplace for corporate promotion goods, and Commodinet, a trading exchange platform for bulk commodities, are currently signed up for eMarket.

“MadeToOrder.com is a profile customer because their key concern is time to market,” Vineet Buch, senior director, eMarket development. “They are trying to remove the fragmentation from the supply chain.

According to Philip Blank, senior vice president and chief information officer, MadeToOrder.com, they needed a company that could quickly build and host an integrated net market site. “Corio manages all of our infrastructure technology and services, allowing us to focus solely on our core competency-building a marketplace around corporate promotion items,” he said.

According to Buch, there are three facets of the pricing structure for eMarket: implementation cost, hosting element and transaction based fee. “The implementation cost could run from half a million to a couple million dollars,” he said. “Hosting for a large company is about $100,000 plus.” The transaction fee is determined by the value and amount of each transaction.

“We have proven experience in hosting mission critical applications,” Hasan Rizvi, vice president, engineering, told ASP-News. “We are the first ASP to provide an integrated hosted solution.”

Corio, Inc.also announced two new partners-negotiated e-commerce solutions provider Moai Technologies and e-content management solutions provider Requisite Technology.

Moai’s LiveExchange and Requisite’s eMerge content management toolkit will be combined with apps from existing Corio partners to provide customers with an integrated net market maker solution.
